Hillside Nursing and Rehabilitation is nestled in the rolling hills of Gatesville, Texas just 30 miles south of Waco. It is an ideal location for those who desire a small town atmosphere without compromising quality care.
In operation since 1975, Hillside has secured a reputation in the area for great care provided by a stable, loving staff. Many of the staff have worked at the facility for over ten years so residents can expect a warm, friendly, family atmosphere.
Licensed for 120 beds, Hillside is proud to employ some of the most talented, experienced and compassionate nurses and therapists in the area. The interdisciplinary team work closely together to assess and develop a Plan of Care for each resident. Whether the resident is in need of long-term care, skilled nursing for short-term visits or additional rehabilitation following a hospital stay, every resident is treated for their individual needs. State-of-the-art therapy equipment has recently been introduced to help our residents achieve the highest level of recovery and independence possible.
Hillside also offers much-needed respite care. We understand how challenging it can be for caregivers to give loved ones 24-hour attention. We offer caregivers the chance to take time for them, by caring for your loved one in your absence. However much attention your loved one needs, we can help.
Life at Hillside is designed to be stimulating and fun. The full-time Activity Director plans daily programs that encourage resident interaction and well-being. We enjoy group exercise, religious services, weekly socials, games, free WiFi, arts and crafts and much more! Our goal at Hillside is to give our residents the quality of care needed to achieve the highest quality of life possible.

Admission to Hillside Nursing & Rehabilitation is initiated by a Physician, a Social Worker/Discharge Planner or a family member. We offer referral response within the hour and we accept admissions seven days a week. We also offer free transportation to doctor's appointments.
For financial peace of mind, we accept Medicare, Medicaid, LTC insurance, private pay or skilled insurance plans. We will happily help educate our families in the application process for Medicaid benefits. Ask us for information on eligibility and the local DADS caseworker.
